MAES Safeguarding

Every adult has the right to live in safety, free from abuse and neglect. An important part of the work that we do is providing learners with the support and information they need in order to deal with situations that put their well-being at risk, both whilst in adult learning centres and outside, and both now and in the future. MAES Safeguarding Policy follows the MCC Safeguarding Procedure which sets out in detail the definitions, legislation, and principles involved in Adult Safeguarding and MAES works closely with other MCC departments and other agencies to support vulnerable learners. All staff are carefully recruited, trained and Disclosure and Baring Service (DBS) checked. Specialist support staff and tutors provide support to all learners and can provide advice and support if required.
